Follow the directions below to add a shortcut to ABC-CLIO databases onto a desktop or to add hyperlinked logos for ABC-CLIO Databases onto a web page.

ADD A DESKTOP SHORTCUT:

• Right-click on the image below and select “Save link as…” to download an icon suitable for use as a desktop shortcut.
  
  

Create Shortcut Instructions for Chrome:

1. Open the link, http://databases.abc-clio.com/, in a new browser window.
2. Open the ••• menu in the top right, next to the address bar. Select “More Tools” and then select “Create shortcut…”.
3. Click “Create”.
4. Right-click on the shortcut that was just created on your desktop and select “Properties”.
5. Click the “Change Icon…” button and browse to the icon you downloaded [Step 1, above].
6. Select the icon and then click Open. Click OK. Click OK.

Create Shortcut Instructions for Edge:

1. Open the link, http://databases.abc-clio.com/, in a new browser window.
2. Open the ••• menu in the top right, next to the address bar. Select “Apps” and then select “Install this site as an app”.
3. Select the “Edit” link under the link’s icon and browse to the icon you downloaded [Step 1, above].
4. Select the icon and then click Open. Click Install.
5. The App Installed menu displays, with “Pin to taskbar” and “Pin to start” selected by default. Select your desired option(s) and click Allow.

Create Shortcut Instructions for Firefox:

1. Open the link, http://databases.abc-clio.com/, in a new browser window.
2. Click the padlock icon to the left of the URL in the address bar. Drag the icon to your desktop.
3. Right-click on the icon that was just created on your desktop and select “Properties.” Select the Web Document Tab if not already selected.
4. Click the “Change Icon…” button and browse to the icon you downloaded in Step 1. above.
5. Select the icon and then click Open. Click OK. Click OK.

Your shortcut is now ready for use.
