Philip Reichel, PhD, is emeritus professor at the University of Northern Colorado, adjunct professor at the University of New Hampshire Law School, and visiting professor at the University for Peace in Costa Rica. He is author of Comparative Criminal Justice Systems: A Topical Approach, coauthor of Corrections (Justice Series), and coeditor of the Handbook of Transnational Crime and Justice and has authored or coauthored more than 40 articles and book chapters. His areas of expertise include corrections, comparative justice systems, and transnational crime.
Ryan Randa, PhD, is assistant professor in the College of Criminal Justice at Sam Houston State University. His research interests include fear of crime, victimization, influences on victim adaptive behaviors, and cross-cultural comparisons of crime and victimization. His work has appeared in Crime and Delinquency, Journal of Criminal Justice, Youth Violence and Juvenile Justice, Victims and Offenders, and Security Journal.
