Judy L. Postmus, PhD, is associate professor at Rutgers School of Social Work, New Brunswick, NJ. She is also director of the Center on Violence Against Women and Children. Her published works include articles in numerous national and international journals, and she has presented her research on the impact of policies and interventions on survivors of violence at local, national, and international conferences. Postmus holds a doctorate from SUNY-Albany and a master's degree in social work from Barry University in Miami Shores, FL.
