Bernadette H. Schell is a well-published professor in the human-computer interaction domain. A professor emeritus in the Faculty of Management at Laurentian University, Ontario, Canada, she has authored numerous books, including The Internet and Society, Hackers and Hacking, and Internet Censorship from ABC-CLIO's Reference Handbook series, and is coauthor of Hacking and Technology-Driven Crime: Social Dynamics and Implications (with Thomas J. Holt). She has taught undergraduate and graduate university courses in management and computer security at Ontario Tech University and Laurentian University and has written a broad range of journal articles dealing with cybercrime.
