Marcia A. Mardis is associate professor and assistant dean at Florida State University. Marcia was editor and lead writer of the AASL National School Library Standards and a contributor to AASL's Standards for the 21st Century Learner. Author of numerous peer reviewed research and practitioner articles on digital librarianship, open educational resources, school librarianship, and technical education, Marcia has also published four books with Libraries Unlimited. She is coeditor of School Libraries Worldwide, the scholarly journal of the International Association of School Librarianship.

Dianne Oberg is professor emerita at the University of Alberta, Canada. She served on the IFLA School Libraries Standing Committee for 12 years and has been an active member of IASL since 1982. She was founding editor of the peer-reviewed international journal School Libraries Worldwide, which she edited for 15 years. She coedited the IFLA School Library Guidelines, Second Edition.
