Author Info

Justine J. Reel, PhD, LPC, serves as associate dean for research and innovation within the College of Health and Human Services at the University of North Carolina–Wilmington. She is professor in the exercise science program and has taught in a variety of exercise settings for the past several decades. Formerly a competitive swimmer and swim coach, she fully appreciates the value of exercise. As a licensed professional counselor, she recognizes the use of exercise for treatment of mental health disorders such as depression, anxiety, and eating disorders.
