Author Info

Angelo Mastrangelo, PhD, is professor of leadership and entrepreneurship at Binghamton University in Binghamton, NY. From 1980 until 1993, he was CEO of Adirondack Beverages, now the nation's largest independent beverage producer. Mastrangelo started out as a stock boy and milkman and eventually rose to become sales manager at Canada Dry. In 1980, he bought Adirondack Beverages in a 100-percent-leveraged purchase. While at Adirondack, he implemented a Total Quality Management (TQM) program called "The Pursuit of Excellence" that still guides the organization today. Mastrangelo earned his doctorate in organizational studies from Albany University in 1994 and attended the highly regarded Owner President Management (OPM) program at Harvard Business School. He has been named one of CNN Money's Top 18 entrepreneurship professors in the United States.
