Laura Finley, PhD, is assistant professor of sociology and criminology at Barry University in Florida. Her published works include Greenwood's The Torture and Prisoner Abuse Debate and Juvenile Justice as well as ABC-CLIO's Encyclopedia of School Crime and Violence. She received her doctorate in sociology from Western Michigan University.
