Six introductory essays are followed by 32 articles surveying work done primarily in Europe and the American continents. Each includes a complete bibliography. The book is rounded off by a list of educational institutions, professional societies, associations, and agencies concerned with planning and architecture. A general index and an index of important buildings listed according to location are included. From the biographical notes on the contributors, it appears that they were carefully selected for their familiarity with the architecture of their respective countries....
