Surveys from 70 countries are included, and 101 countries and regions are referenced in these studies. As with earlier volumes, all tables contain total sample results and many include breakdowns by various population subgroups such as gender, political party affiliation, age, and level of formal education. Poll questions deal with a broad mix of social, political, and economic issues of both contemporary and historical interest. Among the highlights are survey data on men and women in society conducted in 22 countries, survey material on sexual harassment at work conducted in Japan and the United States, and material on relations between Asian countries conducted in eight Asian nations.
