ABC-CLIO and Oxford University Press Announce Linking Partnership

Santa Barbara, CA - March 23, 2004 - ABC-CLIO announced today that it now links its abstracting and indexing databases, Historical Abstracts and America: History and Life, to online journals from Oxford University Press (OUP).

With this new agreement, ABC-CLIO database users will be able to search article titles and abstracts from any OUP journals online, including such prestigious titles as The English Historical Review, Past & Present, and Early Music. Additionally those users who subscribe to any OUP online journals will have direct links to the full-text articles.

ABC-CLIO already links with JSTOR, Project Muse, History Cooperative, and H-Net as well as a number of free online journals. These partnerships are instrumental to making quality research information more accessible.

"We are very pleased to be working with Oxford University Press and to announce this linking partnership to such a premier list of titles. Being able to provide this type of access continues our mission of meeting the needs of history researchers of all types," said Vicky Speck, Editorial Director, Serials at ABC-CLIO.
