Awarded ABC-CLIO Leadership Grant
SANTA BARBARA, CA—July 2007— ABC-CLIO is pleased to announce that the Association for Indiana Media Educators (AIME) has been awarded the 2007 ABC-CLIO Leadership Grant.
Established in 1986, the grant of $1,750 is given to school library media associations that are AASL affiliates for planning and implementing leadership programs at the state, regional, or local levels. The award is administered by ALA/AASL and is sponsored by ABC-CLIO.
The mission of the Association for Indiana Media Educators is to promote school library media centers in Indiana and foster the professional growth of its members. Statewide programs sponsored by AIME include the Media Fair, the Young Hoosier Book Award Program, the Eliot Rosewater Book Award Program, Read-Aloud Books Too Good to Miss, as well as scholarships and professional development activities for members.

The award was presented by ABC-CLIO representative Edward Lott, Director of Sales, Schools Division, to Robyn Young of Avon High School in Avon, IN, at the AASL Awards Luncheon on Monday, June 25, during the ALA Annual conference in Washington, DC.
