ABC-CLIO and Follett Library Resources Sign Distribution Agreement

SANTA BARBARA, Calif.   —   2010-01-21   —   ABC-CLIO, an award-winning publisher of print and electronic library resources, has entered into an agreement with Follett Library Resources to broaden its reach nationwide and to capture a larger share of the K-12 education market. Under the terms of the agreement, Follett Library Resources will sell subscriptions to ABC-CLIO’s online library databases.

“K-12 school librarians are demanding more digital scholarly resources that engage student interest, and meet curriculum standards and instructional needs,” said Tom Fitzgerald, vice president of sales and marketing for ABC-CLIO. “As schools strive to provide a 21st century learning environment, our partnership with Follett Library Resources will help us meet the demand, and deliver our unsurpassed suite of online and electronic academic and reference materials to more public, private and charter schools.”

Follett Library Resources is a well-known, recognized leader in supplying quality books, audiovisual and digital materials and other services to PreK-12 schools and districts.
