ABC-CLIO Appoints Matt Laddin As Vice President of Marketing

Santa Barbara, Calif.   —   2010-07-27   —   ABC-CLIO, publisher of reference, non-fiction, and library professional development titles, today announces the appointment of Matt Laddin as Vice President of Marketing. Matt comes to ABC-CLIO with 27 years of experience in education marketing. His background includes direct marketing, e-commerce, branding, and marketing communications. In his new role, Matt will be responsible for branding and brand leadership for ABC-CLIO and its imprints, strategy development and implementation, budgeting and analytics, building new and strengthening existing partnerships, and generating product demand.

 

Prior to joining ABC-CLIO, Matt served as Vice President of Marketing at Achieve3000, an educational software company based in Lakewood, NJ. Preceding his role with Achieve3000, Laddin had been Group Vice President for Direct Marketing at the Pearson School Companies for 13 years, with responsibilities for generating revenue through direct marketing and e-commerce channels.

A graduate of the University of New York at Albany, Matt began his career with marketing roles for several publishers in the New York metro area. With his move to ABC-CLIO, Laddin will be based in the company's corporate headquarters in Santa Barbara, CA.
