Author Info

Yvette Malamud Ozer, MS, is a clinical psychology doctoral student at California School of Professional Psychology/Alliant International University, San Francisco. She has a master's degree in clinical child/school psychology and a certificate in substance abuse counseling. Malamud Ozer is coauthor of Greenwood's Encyclopedia of Emotion, and recipient of the Dean's Award of Excellence at Alliant International University.

Georganna Leavesley, PhD, is a registered nurse and a licensed clinical psychologist. Leavesley has a full-time private practice in psychology and is an instructor in the Department of Nursing at Our Lady of Holy Cross College in New Orleans, LA. Her published works include coauthorship of the articles "An Expansion for the A-B-C Approach to Cognitive/Behavioral Therapy" and "Behavioral Treatment of Obesity at the Work Site."

Alice C. Richer is a registered, licensed dietician and certified medical writer who is team nutritionist for the Major League Soccer team, the New England Revolution. She also has a private practice at Spaulding Rehabilitation Network. Richer is a member of the American Dietetic Association, Massachusetts Dietetic Association, and the American Medical Writers Association. Her published works include Understanding the Antioxidant Controversy: Scrutinizing the "Fountain of Youth" and Food Allergies.

Nancy A. Piotrowski, PhD, is a core faculty member in the Department of Psychology in the School of Social and Behavioral Sciences at Capella University, Minneapolis, MN. She is a past president of Division 50: Society of Addiction Psychology of the American Psychological Association. She has been recognized as a Fellow of the American Psychological Association, and has completed an NIAAA postdoctoral fellowship at the University of California Berkeley and Alcohol Research Group.
